My friend Onaga asked me if there is an easy and fast way to export a player single animation from Rune. There are 2 tools that allow you to do that Pygmalion and Umodel ... both are great but both also have they own set of problems.
Pygmalion can export only single frame at the time (imagine exporting 'cine_SarkConrack2' - animation with 698 frames). It also doesn't work well with Windows 10 (d3drm.dll problems, it hangs, crushes, not refreshing viewer, not exporting anything).
Umodel on the other hand allows user to extract all animations as a single string (which could be useful) but if you want just a single animation you have to dig through 15594 frames to find it. Umodel also export animations to *.psa format (Milkshape importer can't handle such a large import that's why it swap/skip some frames) . Animations exported trough Umodel have different joint rotation and orientation than original Rune skeleton ... to fix that manually is a real pain in the ass.
That's why I wrote a simple and fast program that allows to export player animations. It is called Rune Animation Tool [RAT] and it's a console command program that solve this specific problem. Downloadhere Tutorialhere made by Onaga
Program is in alpha version 1.04 - it may have bugs and problems ... if you find something plz send your raport here or to my email.
